Kali Kho Temple
‘Bhagwati Kali Khoh’ is the form of Mahakali residing in a natural cave of the Vindhya mountains. According to mythological beliefs, when the Goddess took a fierce form to slay the demon Raktabeej, She chose this spot as Her resting place. This temple is the second major stop in the Trikon Parikrama of Vindhyachal. Here, the deity is in ‘Khechari Mudra’, with Her face directed towards the sky. This location holds immense significance in Tantra Shastra, and seekers come here to attain spiritual powers. A mere glimpse of the ancient idol within the cave is said to destroy the fears and troubles of devotees. During the seventh day of Navratri (Kaalratri), a huge crowd of devotees gathers here, as there is a special significance of worshipping Maa Kali on this day.
